cognitive in the ACRC.
Just typed an email to Mel who's happily lounging around the beaches in Bali and drinking those heavenly milkshakes. Decided to just copy a part of email here, as a brief description of what's happening right now in the ACRC, where we're supposed to be studying - "The five of us are occupying that big wooden table in the centre, with me at the head of the table cos I'm charging my laptop. Next to me on my right is Fel who is dressed in her NEW miniskirt, and studying studying studying 111, she's the only one not plugged into her laptop. Then next to her is Luqs, on his Apple, not sure what he's doing but he's staring intently at the screen and drinking hot coffee. On my left is Jan, she's also studying 111, dressed in her nice pink sweater and using a BROWN highlighter, as usual drinking Nescafe. Next to her is Jings, who has been listening to the same Cantonese song since this session started, cos I can hear through his earphones from way over here. He occasionally breaks out into song as usual, not withstanding the fact that the whole place is quiet but him."
I am so NOT studying. And if I see the word "cognitive" one more time, I think I'm going to scream. It appears everywhere - 101, 102, 111 - like, stop it already. Cognitive schemata, cognitive abilities, cognitive this, cognitive that.
But just a piece of useful information compliments of dictionary.com: "Cognitive: Having a basis in or reducible to empirical factual knowledge."
I bet someone will thank me for that after the exams.
