soccer doesn't go well with me.
i realise it's been pretty long since i've last blogged. but haha it's time to rejoice! it's the start of the one month hols! yay! although i'll probably have to spend most of it studying, which sucks! seriously i think the singapore education system sucks to the core (haha, maybe someone would like to shut me up before i go on and on because i really do have ALOT to complain about the stupid system. i swear i'll never let my kids study here.) cos all they do is pressure kids to study their asses off. it's all about grades. i mean, do you find anywhere else in the world where a ten year old kid works an average of six hours a day? well, i never had to go through that, but it irks me when parents can't stop comparing their children's grades as if they were goods in a mall. (like, if my kid scores higher than yours, i'll feel a sense of euphoria? excuuusee me?)
let's see...recap of the past week. a major event was the soccer finals between my school and vjc on wednesday at the national stadium. mmm although i think it's quite embarrassing to talk about it now cos we were thrashed. haha i left even before the match ended. i realise i can't sit through a soccer match without fidgeting or complaining non-stop. maybe it's just cos i'm watching sub-standard soccer cos it's not like i'm watching manchester united play liverpool or something cos that's far from it! i was bored to tears. i must have annoyed a whole bunch of people around me. and i still think the concept of watching 20 men running after a ball is utterly ludicrous. you wait SO long before a goal is scored. and when it is, you cheer ecstatically for about a minute and then it's back to watching the round object being kicked around again. urghhh.
but the company made up for the rotten day i guess. haha. went with vic, nel, ps, candice and cheryl to the match. had burger king before that...we were sharing funny stories about people in our previous schools and we laughed our heads off. :) went ktv-ing again today! it was fun! but i think my voice is hoarse now. it's been quite a fulfilling last week of school. as you can see, "fulfilling" in my dictionary constitutes of no work but all play. i'm desperately trying to enjoy myself before i've got to get down to studying. :(
i've got a pc exam for lit tomorrow! bleah. i dread it. one and a half hours is going to be wasted trying to analyse something with no relevance to my life. right now, i'm trying to enjoy my pint of ben and jerry's chocolate fudge brownie ice-cream.
that, to me, is bliss.
