harry's at esplanade.
i hate it when there's no one around to cook for me. that's cos i can't whip myself anything other than instant noodles, and honestly, the thought of that makes me not want to eat at all. even instant noodles doesn't taste as good when i cook it myself...in fact, it reeks. haha, oh well, it's good preparation for this 30 hour famine camp i'm going for next month! it's the latest losing weight strategy...plus cip hours too! what beats that? :)
went to harry's at esplanade yesterday. it was awesome...i must say the atmosphere there's really breathtaking, especially in the dark corners only lit by candle-lights near the stage, where this guy was crooning jazz tunes. i had a lime margarita! it was gooooooddd. marc had this thing called standing ovation or something (haha, he read it as standing ovulation at first, and we laughed like crazy) and it was filled with bailey's and some other stuff? it tasted a little like cookies and cream ice cream! mel had tequila sunrise, i loved that, i think it tastes just as good as sex on the beach, which is my current favourite. :) poor cheryl though, her drink didn't taste the slightest bit alcoholic at all, it was more like a mocktail, but it was yummy and we all agreed that if it had the alcoholic taste in it, it'll be the best. we ate like crazy before that at this indonesian restaurant..four of us had two baskets of rice! cos the rice was free flow, so we just kept eating rice. haha, the pains of being teenagers who are so into the concept of value for money. :)
but i realised something horrifying about myself. alcohol induces sleep in me. it doesn't get me drunk or high or anything, at least not in small amounts, but it gets me extremely sleepy. the last time i went clubbing, i was practically half asleep on the platform. i wonder why...it's like my body reacts to alcohol like it does to sleeping pills. my eyelids just get so heavy, and i have to force myself to stay awake. arghh.
ok, time to get bumming back to bed. i've to enjoy the last bit of my weekend. :)
